| Membership Privileges The International Catholic Stewardship Council promotes the concept of holistic Christian stewardship. It serves arch/diocese, parishes, professional firms, religious congregations and Catholic associations through its seminars, publications and annual conference. ICSC encourages the growing professionalism of diocesan stewardship and development programs directed toward improving the long-term grown of diocesan resources. It also fosters the development of parish-centered stewardship programs, aimed at increasing parishioner involvement and financial resources, based on the principle of shared responsibility and accountability. Below are some of the services that ICSC offers. Please feel free to contact our office with questions Networking ICSC provides a network for peers to share their experience, expertise and opinions. The online ICSC membership directory provides members with an up-to-date listing of all members. Visit the online discussion forum where members post questions, share experience and offer advice about stewardship and development techniques. Examples of award-winning parish stewardship materials are also available to members on the ICSC website. Diocesan Exchange Program All of us are eager for new ideas and concepts. Various mediums used to teach and inform Catholic people about stewardship are shared through the ICSC exchange program. Through the exchange programs, new ideas and invaluable insights are gained. Participating members agree to exchange a complete set of all printed material used in their parish or diocese. The diocesan exchange program has five parts: annual appeal, planned giving, foundations, parish stewardship, and Spanish and other languages. The parish exchange program has three parts: time, talent and treasure, children's stewardship, and Spanish and other languages. ICSC also releases a list of experts for each category of the exchange program who may be consulted by parishes and dioceses for individual assistance or questions. Diocesan Exchange Program Each year, ICSC recognizes dioceses and parishes who are ICSC members that have best promoted the spirituality of stewardship during the year. Each voting delegate receives a Materials Award Application. Dioceses and parishes may enter their stewardship promotional materials for consideration in the following categories:
Mailings Every few months, members receive an information-packed mailing that includes articles about stewardship, press releases and special announcements. These materials are also accessible to members on the ICSC website. A quarterly parish stewardship newsletter is filled with practical ideas for promoting stewardship. Additionally, a parish stewardship e-mail bulletin is sent out monthly containing stewardship oriented prayers, weekly stewardship bulletin blurbs and a bulletin insert on stewardship. ICSC Events and Member Discounts The annual conference, diocesan regional meetings, seminars, training sessions and workshops put members in touch with experienced professionals. Membership discounts are available for all ICSC members for the annual conference, the seminar for diocesan foundations, the institutes for stewardship and development and other ICSC sponsored events. Advance notice of advertisement and conference exhibitor opportunities is sent to professional firm members. This courtesy is provided to the ICSC members in appreciation for their membership and continued support of ICSC events and publications. Publications ICSC releases many publications including stewardship manuals in English and Spanish, stewardship reflections, resource journals and prayer books. Each ICSC voting delegate receives a complimentary copy of each new ICSC publication. Additional resources and copies are available for purchase. ICSC has an agreement with the Liturgical Press to make other diocesan and parish publications about stewardship and development available at a reasonable cost. Software Programs Survey Each year, all diocesan members receive the Arch/Diocese Software Programs Survey, which requests information on the software they use for annual appeals, donor database and planned giving. Each member receives the tabulated information with the diocesan contact person, their street address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses and websites. Comprehensive Diocesan Development Survey This fact-filled survey reports and analyzes information on annual appeal programs provided by arch/diocesan offices of stewardship and development to help ICSC members determine the success of their individual arch/diocesan stewardship programs. The Center of Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) conducts the research and prepares this annual report for ICSC. ICSC Events Qualify for CFRE Professional Certification Points Attendance at the ICSC annual conference and the ICSC Institute for Stewardship and Development qualifies as an educational activity for purposes of CFRE program applications for initial certification or recertification. Attendance at sessions for each available time slot for the annual conference and institutes constitutes points on the CFRE application. The point values may be obtained from the CFRE Professional Certification Board (703) 519-1950, fax (703) 684-1950. This is not the same as the award for continuing education units (CEUs) and does not imply endorsement of this program by the CFRE Program. *Opening this form requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download from www.adobe.com.
